James Ferrell

Full name: James Ferrell
Biography: James L. Ferrell was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He earned undergraduate degrees in economics and philosophy and went on to receive a law degree from Yale Law School. Jim has been at the helm of The Arbinger Institute as CEO for many years. Arbinger is a management consulting firm and scholarly consortium that specializes in resolving conflict by helping people and organizations understand the root of their problems -- a problem that is very common in human experience, regardless of culture, education, religious conviction or social position. The problem is known as "self-deception," and is the central theme of Arbinger's two bestselling books: Leadership and Self-Deception and The Anatomy of Peace. Jim has authored several books and has taught and advised leaders of corporations, governments, and organizations of all kinds in many countries around the world. Jim and his wife Jackie are the parents of five children.
