- Dr. Gove Allen was raised in San Diego, California. His wife, Nickie, and he are the parents of three children (ages 10-13) who are being raised with leadership education principles. Dr. Allen received his undergraduate and master degrees in accountancy from Brigham Young University in 1994, whereupon he started and ran a computer training and consulting company for three years. After training or consulting with such organizations as American Express, Sony, AT&T, NASA, and the Kennedy Space Center, with his first child on the way, he sold his company to pursue his doctoral studies at the University of Minnesota. In 2001, he received his Ph.D. in business administration with an emphasis in Information and Decision Sciences with a supporting concentration in Educational Psychology. Dr. Allen is currently an associate professor of information systems on the faculty at Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Management.
