I don't know how many Mom's I have talked to who are secretly worried that their 14-year-old boy is still in "love of learning" phase or who struggle to know what to do with an apathetic 17-year-old.

After nearly 10 years of mentoring, teaching and counseling high school age students, I have come to a handful of core ideas about what makes teens tick.
