2011 Youth Forum KEYNOTE - Mission: Impossible and Other Outrageous Lies
Presenter: Leslie Householder
You were put on this planet with an inborn desire to find and accomplish your unique life’s mission – one that will become your passion, your purpose, your meaningful contribution to the world, and ultimately, your legacy. The world would have you believe that you are not good enough, smart enough, strong enough, or clever enough to discover and accomplish that mission. It would have you believe that your mission is not just impossible to identify or define, but even more impossible to complete. Not true! Through humor and other surprises, this class will reveal secrets that can give you the advantage, insight, and empowerment you need to get excited about your future and stay on track, as well as the inner peace of mind and confidence that you can and will succeed at whatever you are called upon to do.
Special Guest Presenter: Eric Profitt
Nobody is Ordinary Presenter: Eric Proffitt While running away from police, and risking gang beatings, Eric took his 5 girls on the run of his life. Shackled in chains from head to toe, Eric ran for freedom from Washington DC to New York in the summer of 2009. Using live music and real life stories, Eric inspires youth to realize that NOBODY IS ORDINARY- not even you!!

Jim Rhoades is a master storyteller. The title of this story is "Do Bad Things Ever Happen to Good People? and if so Why?
Is it possible for a youth, even just 12 years old, to find their own personal legend or mission in life? If so, what is the combination that opens that safe. When George Washington was 12 years old, did it suddenly occur to him, that he was to make that big of difference in the world? It is the consistent, persistent, little things in our life that we do daily, learned in our youth, that forges our lives and ultimately, this world. Just one decision made at the right time makes all the difference... One millionth of a volt.
2011 Youth Forum Presentation: Healthy vs. Thin: What’s feeding your self-image? Presenter: Tres Hatch

We are dealing with wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, potential nuclear threats in Iran and North Korea, and economic battles with China and other countries. Why do these conflicts matter, and how do they impact your life? This workshop will teach today’s youth important skills they can use to understand world events in this fascinating time in history.
2011 Youth Forum Presentation: Wanted: Heroes Dead or Alive
Presenters: Celestia Shumway, Kent Bowler, Amy Bowler, Brad Bowler
An average, ordinary kid, found himself in WWII stationed at the anti-aircraft guns on the USS Chicago while under attack from Japanese bombers. The ship had already been hit by six torpedoes and was going down. This kid took down one of the enemy planes before machine gun fire from another struck him in the back. He stayed at his post and shot down yet another enemy plane. Refusing to leave until the attack ended, he walked off the ship minutes before it went under.
One hero found.
Join us in the search for heroes dead and alive as the fight for freedom continues.
2010 Youth Forum KEYNOTE: Teens: Leaders of the New World
Presenter: Dr. Shanon Brooks
We all know that for years you have been told that you are awesome and incredible. Well here’s the truth . . . it doesn’t matter what adults think. Do you believe it and are you ready? Ready or not, you will lead America into the 21st century. What does that mean? It means that you will be called upon for solutions during very long, hard economic times. It means that you will be personally involved in international struggles. It means that as times get tough, society will begin to break down; and you will have to find strong solutions to save American families and communities. Do you have the answers?
Whether America continues to be a world leader or not depends on you. What you do over the next 5 years will in great measure decide the difference between a nation of free citizens or a country of dependent followers. You alone will lead this nation into its greatest moments or standby as she drifts off into the annals of bygone civilizations.
These are heavy thoughts. You are extraordinary people. This is what you were born to do. It is time to step into your greatness. Please join Dr. Shanon Brooks for a “no nonsense,” “hard hitting,” “face-your realities-and-come-out-victorious” discussion about you and the future.
2010 Youth Forum Presentation: Be the Change or Be the Same? Why Skywalker Wasn’t a Storm Trooper
Presenter: Julie Earley
The American youth of WWII have been called the greatest generation because they emerged triumphant—yet that same bright generation in Germany were led astray and utterly wasted. History cycles through generations and those who don’t know the patterns are condemned to repeat them. In the coming crisis of our day, will you become the heroes who lead out or the followers who shrink back and become absorbed into the collective?
2010 Youth Forum Presentation: Of Education and Freedom
Presenter: Dr. Scott Bradley
The Founding Fathers of the United States were unequivocally committed to the necessity of an educated populace in order to preserve liberty throughout the nation. However, the education process must confirm in the hearts and minds of the people of the nation the sound, firm principles upon which liberty and proper government are based. False philosophies that undermine or destroy the correct principles will facilitate the destruction of the nation’s freedom. This lecture will review the approach to education that was used as this nation was established and compare and contrast that approach with modern educational paradigms that promote false educational ideas to the detriment of the preservation of the nation. The Humanist Manifestos and the philosophies contained therein will be considered at length in this lecture.
