TJEd Families of Central Texas

Mission: To serve, strengthen, and support families who emphasize agency-based education as the key to inspiring their youth to be the change they wish to see in the world.

The purpose of this group is to support families in the North Austin/Pflugerville/Round Rock area who are implementing (or would like to implement) A Thomas Jefferson Education in their learning experience. A Love of Learning group for ages 9-11 and a Scholar group for ages 12-18 will meet the 2nd Tuesday each month beginning April 2011. A Moms' Lunch Retreat will meet the 3rd Tuesday each month beginning March 2011. Field trips and family activities will take place on the 4th Tuesdays at least quarterly.

Meetings and activities will focus on fellowship and mentoring, personal organization and mission, leadership skills, reading & activities taken from the classics, and Scholar projects.
