Libraries of Hope
Libraries of Hope is a non-profit foundation built on the belief that stories and great literature have the power to shape and change lives. We re-publish classical children's literature and offer the Forgotten Classics Children's Library on a subscription basis. Currently, we are producing the Freedom Series which is a 12 volume library encompassing American history from the days of early exploration to the beginning of the 20th century, told through the stories of those who lived it. Each month, we publish one title. We only produce as many books as we have subscribers that month. This is how we generate funds which we use to support community library projects in Africa, because we believe, as Kofi Annan said, that "Literacy is quite simply the bridge between misery and hope."
