“Bill Gates finally laid it on the line: ‘America’s high schools are obsolete. By obsolete, I don’t mean that our high schools are broken, flawed, and underfunded . . . . By obsolete, I mean that our high schools–even when they’re working exactly as designed–cannot teach our kids what they need to know today . . . . This isn’t an accident or a flaw in the system; it is the system.’ ”    Education has fallen behind not just in America but globally. Educational Ascent is an organization dedicated to providing education today with the tools to raise its performance up to the current demands, to tomorrow’s challenges and beyond. Educational Ascent provides critical answers to reforming antiquated assembly-line education.

Services:
Courses: Relationship-education offers courses and instruction for students, instructors, administration and parents. The course essentially integrates principles and techniques of relationship management into the student’s education. Students are empowered with a new tool allowing them to expand their education and relationships indefinitely.

Consulting: Customized proposals are prepared outlining a plan developed addressing your school’s current operations, needs and goals.

Training: Educational Ascent instructors will work with your administration, faculty, parents and students through hands-on workshops as needed to implement your school’s plan for making the shift to relationship-education and a more affective approach to today’s environment.

The Need
The Information Age has not just opened the floodgates of information, but has also released a host of tools empowering students to systematically share themselves with the world. At first glance this change appears to increase the educational load; and it will, if something doesn’t change. In martial arts a person is taught to use their opponent’s weight and force of attack against them. The size of the educational challenges today does seem daunting. If we shift our approach and posture and use the challenge to address the challenge, it may involve little more than changing our mindset as educators. If this can be achieved, students will get to be (become) more than any previous people in history have been. From what we have observed students want it and need it, Educational Ascent can help.

What we bring to the table is a sort of optimization; it helps everyone in education take some of the load off by shifting from the industrial based model of learning to a user-based model. From cell-phones and mobile computers to texting and Wikipedia we see the user empowered and the need for a comprehensive response from education is mounting. Educational Ascent provides a critical ingredient to that end. If students receive the right kind of support they can assume a more substantial role in education while feeling as though their load has been lightened.

We essentially help shift the flow of relationship interest from the institution to the student, or rather through the student, where education best occurs. We simplify the student’s educational load as the student begins to find more connectivity, meaning and application in their work. Educational Ascent uses cutting edge methods to connect with and move beyond the new knowledge economy.
