Applying the principles of Thomas Jefferson Education becomes easier as the depth and breadth of our own education increases. But where does a mother find time for her own education? And where should she start? As a mother of five, I completed all the classes for a Political Economy Masters Degree from George Wythe University and have mentored many other mothers as they increased their education. I can help you, too. Whether you just want to read or write more effectively, or are ready for a degree or 5 Pillar Certification, we can come up with a workable, affordable plan for you. The results are definitely worth the effort. I feel the positive effects of a great liberal arts education in my home everyday.
I have mentored for GWC's distance program for nine years, Art of Womanhood, The 5 Pillar Program, Family Statesmanship Academy and numerous children and youth groups.
In 1991, while attending a Youth for America conference in the beautiful mountains of Southern Utah , my life was changed forever. It was there I learned about greatness- the greatness of true principles, of honorable men and virtuous women and most importantly, I learned of the budding greatness within myself.
The mountain path of YFA led me to the George Wythe College graduation procession in 1994 where I was valedictorian receiving a Bachelor's degree. The time I spent at GWC showed me the difference a mentor can make. Whether struggling to understand the Federalist Papers, leading a liber youth organization or potty-training my first child, a mentor was there to guide me to success and eventually led me to become a mentor myself.
