An eye for eye makes the whole world blind.
- Mohandas Gandhi
Our ability to create and nurture relationships will define our ablity to lead and influence. Some of us are charismatic, confident schmoozers and others are timid, unassuming hiders. Ironically, great relationships require the strengths that both of these types bring to the table. Whatever our strengths or weaknesses, we must learn to consistently and effectively work well with those around us.
Though learning how to interact effectively in our relationships is much more an art than a science, we can learn fundamental principles which allow us to practice and improve in this art. Join us to learn some of the following keys to relationship success.
- Treating people as people
- Circumlocution and other keys to communication
- Listening First
- Why most politicians win
- Transitioning personal power into influence
- Presenting yourself powerfully: manners and dress
- Colloquium: The Anatomy of Peace, The Arbinger Institute
- Colloquium: How to Win Friends and Influence People, Dale Carnegie
We all need to improve in the area of relationships. Join us to find out how!
